Nebraska named a models for growth state

State Senator Amanda Mcgill says the state has been named a models for growth state and that means the state will be looking at different ways to work with youth in trouble instead of always locking them up in a detention center.
“Shifting them into more community programs that treat their substance abuse issues, to let them stay at home instead of being put into the detention center,¬† Where that environment can sometimes be unhealthy and encourage future bad behavior.”
Other states will be looking at Nebraska to study the results of the changes.
