Big Red Report–Baylor's offense and a homecoming for Green

Defensive coordinator Carl Pelini came away from practice impressed with the way the team has practiced to up this point as they prepare for the Baylor Bears. Pelini immediately noticed the speed that the Bears bring. Pelini said the Huskers will have their fair share of one-on-one situations against Baylor.
One player that has caught the eye of Pelini is sophomore Cameron Meredith. Through the first seven games, Meredith has 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, and a sack. The problem for Meredith, he’s playing behind junior Pierre Allen. Pelini said the Huskers are looking for ways to get Meredith on the field more often.
True freshmen quarterback Cody Green is from Dayton, Texas not far from Houston, so heading back to his home state is something he is looking forward too, because he knows quite a few of the players on that Baylor team.  Cody also said that if he got the chance to play, you can bet, he’d try to put on a show for friends and family.
The Huskers back on the practice field today. Kickoff again at 11:30 on Saturday with the game on the Versus network.
