Inglis supports reading time for bills

U-S Representative Bob Inglis has signed on to a bipartisan bill that would require all non-emergency legislation to be posted on-line for at least 72 hours prior to a floor vote. A petition is being signed calling for house speaker Nancy Pelosi to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.
“In the case of the cap-and trade bill, for example, was three-hundred pages,” said Inglis.  “You counldn’t have read them.  This waiting period will make it so that Representatives can read the bills, and the American people can read the bills, on line.”
If the petition gets 218 signatures, the bill has to be brought to the floor.
