Johanns proposes stand alone anti-ACORN Bill

Allegations of criminal activity continue to surround the ACORN organization, and Senator Mike Johanns wants tax-payer dollars to have no part of it.
Johanns has already moved an amendment through the Senate with overwhelming support that cut off funding for ACORN that was built into a bill. Now, Johanns has filed a stand-alone bill that would wipe out all federal funding for ACORN.
ACORN has released a statement calling Johanns efforts a ‘partisan attack,’ but Johanns says an 83-7 vote to cut-off funding is NOT partisan.
