Two state kickers win player of the week honors

Chadron State College punter Kevin Berg has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. He averaged 50.2 yards on five punts, with a long of 58 yards. His average of 50.2 yards is the third highest total in school history.
Nebraska Wesleyan junior kicker Zach Egger was named the NAIA national special-teams player of the week after tying a school record with four field goals in Saturday’s 38-23 win against Dakota Wesleyan.
Neb. Wesleyan entered this week’s NAIA poll at No. 25. Hastings is also ranked at 19th with a 3-0 record. In this week’s Division II poll, Chadron State remains at No. 15, while Wayne State climbed one spot to 20th.
