Big Red Report–final prep for Arkansas State

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are hosting Arkansas State and Bo Pelini talked about the Redwolves front line being solid, starting with defense end Alex Carrington and a defense very stingy against the run.
Pelini was encouraged by the play of redshirt freshmen linebackers Will Compton and Sean Fisher, he said he expects big progress from them this weekend.
Pelini also knows that his defensive front four is going to be challenged tomorrow by a very strong running game from Arkansas State. Pelini said Red Wolves’ quarterback Corey Leonard is a good dual-threat quarterback and Arkansas State rushed for 358 yards in last week’s 61-0 white wash of Mississippi Valley St. Pelini said he hopes his defense is up for the challenge.
The team is pretty healthy heading into week two. There is really only one question mark and that would come from Bennington native, senior offensive linemen Andy Christensen. Other than that, the team is at full strength.
