Car crashes into Lowcountry home

A car crashed into a Lowcountry home and police have charged a man for the collision. Sharon Ware of Goose Creek was just sitting in her living room Tuesday morning when she heard, what she said sounded like, a loud explosion. The Post and Courier reports that sound was that of a green Honda crashing into Ware’s Crowfield Village duplex. The crash happened in the front bedroom of the home, where Ware’s sister was a few minutes prior to the crash. Ware said of her sister: “I thought she was gone. When she hollered she was all right, I ran to her.” In the collision, the car also hit the neighbor’s bedroom and the shared wall of Ware’s front bedroom.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol has charged 29-year-old Kenneth Scott of Ladson with second-offense DUI. Scott was taken to Trident Medical Center, where he was later listed in good condition.
