Move over law now in effect

Nebraska’s new Move Over Law is now in effect. Drivers are now required to merge into the far lane of traffic when passing emergency or law enforcement vehicles. If a vehicle can’t merge away, the driver is required to slow down when passing. Those drivers who disobey the law can be subjected to a fine of at least $100 for a first offense. The maximum fine for subsequent offenses is a $500 fine and you could also face seven days in jail.
