Governor looking for increased education standards

The Governor is announcing new measures to help increase education standards in the state. The Governor wants the number of high school graduates and college graduates in the state to increase.
“Rigorous Standards, not general math 1, 2, and 3….. I don’t think anyone has ever stood up here before and said we’re gonna get a 90% high school graduation rate. More affordable access, top 10 relative to the college going rate.”
The Governor says increasing these standards will take a partnership between him, the Department of Education, and the Legislature.
