O-Royals lose 1-0

The Omaha Royals were outpitched on Sunday losing to Reno, 1-0. Omaha starter Lenny DiNardo dueled with Travis Blackley, but a sacrifice fly in the 8th was the difference. Blackely no-hit the Royals for 6.1 innings before giving way to reliever Jason Urquidez who lost the no-hit bid in the 8th inning.
Trailing 1-0, JR House led off the 8th with a single. In the sixth Blackley’s perfect game came to an end when Tug Hulett, reached on a throwing error by second baseman Rusty Ryal, breaking up a perfect game. Blackley had been 0-5 with an 8.24 ERA in 10 starts, but was 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 20 relief appearances.
Reno’s lone run came on Brandon Watson’s sac fly off . Omaha starter Lenny DiNardo who gave up just the one run on six hits over eight innings. His ERA is 3.31, third in the PCL
