Corn Board pushes for more ethanol in your gas

The Nebraska Corn Board is looking to increase the amount of ethanol in a gallon of gasoline. Randy Klein with the Nebraska Corn Board says Brazil already uses 25% ethanol in each gallon. The corn board is requesting ethanol content at state gas pumps to increase from 10 to 15 percent.
“We did a call to farmers to respond and 5,000 farmers sent post cards in to support that effort so it really showed the support and strength behind ethanol and the ethanol market opportunities.”
There is some concern as many car warranties specify the car be filled with gasoline that contains no more than 10% ethanol. The E-P-A should make a decision by December.
