After losing their 8th straight playoff game, Robert and Jeff Sprowls, the owners of the Omaha Beef indoor football team fired their entire coaching staff and cleaned out some of the front office as well. The Sprowls bought the team in 2007 and have gone through three head coaches.
The Blue team, behind 16 kills from National Player of the Year Gina Mancuso, won the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star volleyball match 25-18, 16-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-12. The Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star softball games are Wednesday at Bowlin Field at 5 and 7 p.m.
59 year old British Open runner up Tom Watson missed the practice round for the US Senior Open. A little sick to his stomach after Chinese food didn’t sit too well with him over in Scotland.
The Kansas City Chiefs have waived kicker Connor Barth, and will likely turn to seventh round draft pick “Mr. Irrelevant” Ryan Succop to be the team’s kicker this season. Succop played at South Carolina and was the 256th overall draft pick.
