Bovine TB tests coming back negative

Somer good news following a scare last spring. Some Nebraska cattle in Rock County tested positive for Bovine Tuberculosis. Christin Kamm is with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and says testing of nearly nine thousand cattle this summer has not turned up any positive tests. She says the public should not be worried.
“The only way that TB is spread from animal to animal is through nose to nose contact and I don’t think there is any reason for the public to be concerned about coming into contact with that.”
Kamm says the department is optimistic that all further testing will be good news for the state’s cattle industry.
