Jack "socks" it to competition in Florida

Lincoln native and 16 year old Jack Sock won his first 18 U national championship winning in straight sets in the finals of the USTA Nat’l Boys Clay Court championships in Delray Beach, Fl.
Sock was the second seed and went 7-0 over the tournament. He defeated fourth seed Sekou Coke Bangoura of Florida. Omaha Burke junior Jackson Withrow loss to top seeded Bjorn Fratangelo of Pittsburgh in the 16U division.
Sock and his partner, Frederick Saba of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., won the boys 18 doubles crown with a 6-2, 7-6 conquest in the finals over Zachary Leslie of San Diego, Calif., and Anderson Reed of Daphne, Ala. They finished 6-0 in the doubles competition.
Sock is ranked #1 nationally and will compete 7-16 in the USTA National Hard Court Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich.
