The Lincoln Saltdogs lost a wild one to open the second half of the season losing 12-8 at Sioux City after the home team rallied in the 8th inning. After Lincoln scored an unearned run in the 8th, Sioux City came right back on a bases loaded walk and three run double.
Lincoln’s Brian Campbell couldn’t get an out in the fourth inning, walking the first three batters of the on 12 pitches before being pulled. Campbell walked six and threw a league record five wild pitches. Sioux City’s Trevor Fox wasn’t any better, walking eight in his four-plus innings and allowing seven runs. Overall, the two pitching staffs combined to walk 22 batters, eleven for each team.
