Six medals for five Nebraska track athletes

Nebraska Association athletes won six medals Sunday on the final day of competition at the USA Track and Field Youth Outdoor national championship meet in Michigan. Three runners won medals in the 1,500-meter run. Justin Liedke of Papillion was second in 11-12 boys, in 4:45.05, Kristi Mullen of Omaha finished fourth in the 15-16 Girls in 4:53.46 and Matt Holcomb of Ralston was eighth in the 17-18 Boys race in 4:08.77.
Maia Reynolds of Omaha Benson placed in the 15-16 Girls100 (fourth, 12.26), and Josh Banderas of Lincoln medaled in the Boys (13-14) 100 hurdles (fourth, 14.62) and 200 hurdles (third, 26.57).
