Oman, 18th Neb. coach elected to NHSCA HOF

Dave Oman the head boys basketball coach at Grand Island from 1999 until 2009 who won three Class A state championships was inducted into the National High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame last week in Minneapolis.
Oman is the 18h coach from Nebraska to be inducted into the national hall of fame. Grant’s Larry Pritchard was also inducted this year. In addition to coaching boys basketball, Oman was a high school football official for 35 years and was a volleyball official for 29 years, including the last 14 at the state tournament. He also coached track for 17 years and worked 10 years as an official at the state track meet.
