A small Nebraska town is getting some big recognition in the transportation sector. According to director Carol Maxson, the Ogallala Public Transit was recognized with an achievement award during the Nebraska Association of Transportation Providers’ annual Manager’s Workshop in Hastings.

The honor was in recognition of the public transit for having the largest percentage of increase in riders, over 25%, and the largest percentage of increase in vehicle miles traveled, over 22%, in 2007-2008.
