Nebraska economy expected to improve faster

While the U.S. economy is showing signs of recovery…Eric Thompson, director of the UNL Bureau of Business Research says that the chances of a rapid nationwide economy recovery are slim. Thompson tells us that Nebraska will also have its share of challenges.
“It’s a pretty tough time for Nebraska right now, but we do expect that Nebraska will do well compared to the nation as the economy pulls out of recession.
Thompson says that this is because of the relative strength of Nebraska’s key industries, particularly agriculture, as well as relatively stable property values in the state.
