Davies solid in first start with Omaha

Kyle Davies made his first start for Omaha after being sent down from the Kansas City Royals on Saturday and went eight innings allowing three hits and striking out eight.
The O-Royals snapped their four game losing streak with a 7-0 win over the Memphis Redbirds. A five-run second inning provided more than enough support for Davies. Kila Ka’aihue hit his 11th home run and Irving Falu drove in two with a single. He went three for five with three RBIs.
Omaha wraps up their long 15 game College World Series road trip when Sidney Ponson, who started the season in Kansas City takes on the Redbirds in the series finale.
