A man convicted of taking part in one of the worst murders in Nebraska’s History is being paroled. Timothy Haverkamp was convicted 24 years ago of second-degree murder for his role in the cult-related murders of two people including a 5-year-old boy near Rulo. Last year, we told you the 47 year old was on work release at the Governor’s mansion. He sometimes led tours of the home for interested members of the public. His placement in the mansion was approved by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. News that Haverkamp has been paroled comes from the corrections department web site.
