Omaha drops opener at Albuquerque

The Omaha Royals continue to struggle losing game one against the Isotopes in Albuquerque by a 9-1 final. Omaha is 3-17 in their last 20 games.
The Isotopes blew open a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth when they sent 10 batters to the plate. Jamie Hoffman led off with a double and scored on a Dee Brown single. Alb’q then got a double from JD Closser, and a two run single from Juan Gonzalez before Omaha could get an out from pitcher Heath Phillips. The Isotopes scored six runs in the inning.
