NU VB recruiting class ranked 2nd

Prepvolleyball.com ranked Nebraska’s volleyball recruiting as number two in the nation, led by outside hitter Gina Mancuso of Papillion La-Vista who become the first high school athlete in Nebraska named as a Gatorade National Player of the Year.
Also on that recruitment list is Hannah Werth (Springfield, Ill./ Glenwood HS), middle blocker Hayley Thramer (Ewing, Neb./Ewing HS) and libero Megan Pendergast (League City, Texas/Clear Creek HS).
All four players were selected as Fab 50 selections by Volleyball Magazine with Mancuso was chosen as the Gatorade National Player of the Year, becoming the first athlete from a Nebraska high school in any sport to receive the prestigious honor. She was also named the Volleyball Magazine National High School Player of the Year.
It’s never too early to start thinking NU volleyball. Tickets to the annual Red/White Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 22, are now on sale. Tickets are set for $10 (adults) and $8 (youth and seniors) at huskers.com.
