Norfolk golf course must pay back taxes

eldorado-photo-from-ebayEarlier in May, the Nebraska Supreme Court sided in favor of a ruling by state tax officials stating that Eldorado Hills Golf Course in Norfolk will have to pay close to $50,000 in back sales taxes and other fees.
According to the Norfolk Daily News, The Berrington Corporation, who runs the golf course, appealed the ruling of the state tax commission that the course’s membership fees were actually admission charges.
The article also verified that state tax laws require admission fees to be taxed, while membership dues are not. Eldorado Hills was place on Ebay back on March 12th for sale with a price tag of $2.35 million.
