Former Neb. Governor Candidate interested in NHL team

A former Nebraska candidate for Governor may buy the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes. John Breslow who was also State Auditor from 91-99 as well as the Republican candidate for Governor in 98, owns 3% of the team and he has formed a group to put in a bid.
The current owner filed for bankruptcy. Jerry Moyes filed for Chapter 11 protection earlier in May. There is one bid to buy the team for $212.5 million. That came from Canadian Jim Balsillie, who is only interested in buying the team if he can move it to Hamilton, Onatario, which is about half way between Toronto and Buffalo, NY.
There are also rumors that Breslow’s group includes the Great One, Wayne Gretzky who is currently the Coyotes head coach.
