Abortion debate heats up on the floor

The hot topic of abortion was discussed in the legislature. The bill being advanced would force those performing an abortion to leave the ultrasound image in view of the woman wanting an abortion. The woman however, would not be forced to look. Senator John Harms supports the bill.“I think the child has the right and should have the right to live, I think the child should have the right to grow up and experience grade school, high school, graduation, experiance college, have a career, get married, have a family.”
Meanwhile, Senator Danielle Nantkes says Health and Human services should provide a list of crisis pregnancy centers that agree to be regulated. Nantkes says too many of those centers are providing false information to the woman. Her amendment was not voted forward.
