It’s the rubber game, the Nebraska Classic between the Husker and Creighton baseball teams from Rosenblatt Stadium. Each team has won a game and it’s been on the other’s home field.
Back on April 7th, the Bluejays shutout NU 15-0, then just two weeks later, at Rosenblatt the Huskers pulled off a 4-3 win in 12 innings. In that gave on the 21st, tonight’s starter for the Huskers, Erik Byrd, pitched 9.1 innings.
Creighton is hoping to bouncing back after they dropped to third in the Missouri Valley standings after being swept by Missouri State this weekend. The Huskers lost two out of three from Cal-State Bakersfield. This is Nebraska’s final road game of the season.
