Wayne State cracks top 10 in baseball poll

The Wayne State College baseball team is ranked eighth in this week’s National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 poll, marking the first-ever Top 10 ranking for the Wildcat baseball program.
WSC received 218 points in voting conducted by baseball writers from across the country. Wayne State just clinched a sixth straight Northern Sun Conference regular season title and will be the top seed for this weekend’s Northern Sun Conference Tournament in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The 39-11 Wildcats meet sixth-seed Augustana College in Thursday’s first round starting at 3:30 p.m.
