Dana College Athletic Director Bill Danenhauer announced the addition of Men’s and Women’s Collegiate Bowling starting in the 2010-2011 school year.
“We are excited to announce bowling as a varsity sport,” commented Athletic Director Bill Danenhauer. “Bowling has grown at the high school level in Nebraska, and Dana will be one of two schools in Nebraska and Iowa to offer collegiate bowling.”
With the addition of bowling, Dana will offer 16 sports. “We feel we will be at the forefront of an emerging sport in the NAIA with the addition collegiate bowling,” stated Danenhauer.
Dana will be using the Blair Bowling Center as its home lanes. The Vikings will compete against NCAA Division I, II, and II, as well as junior college and NAIA teams.
