Royals’ starting pitcher Zach Greinke finally gave up an earned run in his fifth start of the season. Going back to last September his streak was at 43 innings.
Toronto scored in the first, but it didn’t matter. The Royals scored 10 runs off Jays’ starter Brian Tallet in five innings. Royals go on to win 11-3. Zach Greinke is 5-0 after he gave up two runs and struck out eight in seven innings. In the last two years, Greinke is 10-0 in April
Lincoln native and former Husker Joba Chamberlain got his first win of the year for the Yankees going seven innings where he allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks, while striking out six in the Yankees 8-6 win at Detroit.
