O-Royals Fall in 11

Omaha’s three game winning streak came to an end as the Oklahoma City RedHawks beat the O-Royals 7-6 in 11 innings Wednesday night at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Ramon Colon walked Royce Huffman with the bases loaded in the 11th to give the RedHawks the win.
Omaha jumped on Oklahoma City starter Elizardo Ramirez for a run in the top of the first inning, but the RedHawks answered with a pair in the bottom half of the frame. Huffman drove in the first two ‘Hawks runs with a double. The Royals were able to tie the game in the top of the fourth when Cory Aldridge drove in Chris Lubanski. Max Ramirez gave Oklahoma City its second lead with a two-run home run, his first of the season, in the home half of the inning. Huffman extended the RedHawks lead to 5-2 when he doubled in Esteban German in the fifth.
The Royals tied the game with three runs in the sixth on two hits, two walks, an error, and a sacrifice fly. Omaha took its first lead in the top of the eighth on a run scoring double by former RedHawk Tug Hulett. Oklahoma City battled back to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth when Casey Benjamin doubled in Greg Golson.
In the bottom of the eleventh, Colon walked Golson and intentionally walked Julio Borbon after a sacrifice bunt by Benjamin. Colon then walked German on five pitches to load the bases for Huffman, who also walked on five pitches to end the game and give Oklahoma City the win.
Omaha and Oklahoma City will continue this four-game set Thursday night.
