White says "Kill education bill"

The Legislature has adjourned for the day without voting on a motion that would basically kill a bill providing more money for education in the state. The bill attempts to allocate 234 million dollars in federal stimulus money. Senator Tom White of Omaha is suggesting the bill be killed.
“but the answer’s been to every effort, No! What came out of that committee 5-2 now 4-3 must be it,  we’ve compromised enough.  4-3 coming out of your committee?  Kill this bill and if you don’t kill this bill make folks talk until it’s somewhat better.”
An earlier motion by Senator Mike Friend of Omaha to take a break from the bill until next week was withdrawn.
