Bellevue's Converse pitches shutout

Bellevue University ran their win streak to five following a 3-0 win over Midland Lutheran College Wednesday night at Moller Field.
Bellevue scored all their runs on sacrifice flies in the third, fifth and ninth improving their season mark to 26-9. Midland Lutheran College falls to 18-24 on the year.
Aaron Converse pitched a shutout improving to 3-0. In the complete game victory he threw nine innings allowing a walk while striking out seven. Converse threw his first complete game shutout of the season lowering his ERA from 5.19 to 3.42.
Midland Lutheran College had six hits getting four from two different batters. Lucas McCain was 2-for-4 as was Matt Huggins in the loss. Wes Drumm and Ben Goldstrom each recorded singles in the game. The Warriors threw six different pitchers in the nine inning game.
