NU baseball team snaps losing streak at 9

The Cornhusker snapped their longest losing streak in 12 years as NU holds off Iowa 8-5 on Tuesday night.
Jeff Tezak matched his season-high with four RBIs,going 3-for-4 on the night, as the Huskers (17-18-1) pounded out 11 hits to jump to a 5-0 lead in the first three innings. Tezak would come up big later in the game, with his fourth run on a RBI single in the seventh after Iowa pulled to within 5-4.
The Huskers have struggled on the mound but got good production from Michael Mariot who took a shutout into the fourth inning. Four relievers combined for 5.2 innings of relief without allowing an earned run.
The Huskers return to action on Friday night as they begin a three-game series at No. 21 Texas A&M.
