Nebraskans who want to keep close tabs on the process of moving the State Fair can now go online to a new website that’s dedicated to the effort.
The Nebraska State Fair Coalition is launching the website that’ll cover many aspects of the fair’s move from Lincoln to Grand Island for 2010. The website highlights a layout of the new fair facilities, updates on progress in fundraising and it details the history of the move.
Grand Island is responsible for putting up eight-and-a-half million dollars for the move, that’s 20-percent of the total cost of 42-and-a-half million that’ll be needed for construction and infrastructure improvements. The coalition aims to have all the money raised within a few weeks.
The website address has a “G-I” in it for Grand Island. It’s www.statefairgi.com.
