Head coach Bo Pelini was not very pleased with the efforts or results following a two and a half hour practice outside in full pads. Pelini said there is still a lot of work to be done before the spring wraps up with the annual Red-White game on April 18th.
After we reported earlier this week that the right guard position was a question mark with neither DJ Jones or Ricky Henry really standing out, it appears NU has found a solution for now. Last year’s center Jacob Hickman is moving over to right guard. Handling the snaps in spring will be walk sophomore Mike Caputo.
For more on practice and to hear from the senior Hickman, you can listen to Sean Callahan’s report.
Huskers take Thursday off, then resume practice on Friday. If you want tickets for the Red-White game, reserved tickets remain available through Huskers.com or by calling the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8-BIG-RED. Tickets are $10 each. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets no later than Friday, April 10 so that they can receive the tickets in the mail and avoid potentially long will-call lines on game day. Kickoff for the Red-White Spring game is at 1 p.m.
