Two players leaving Husker basketball

Sophomore Cookie Miller and redshirt freshmen Alonzo Edwards announced they are transferring from Doc Sadler’s basketball program at Nebraska.
The Lincoln Journal reported yesterday that Miller first thought of leaving after his freshmen year, but stayed loyal to Doc.  However, Miller comes from close family and he wants to be closer to home in West Virginia.
Edwards, a 6’8 forward averaged less than two points in 16 games last season and notified Sadler he is leaving for more playing time which will most likely come from a junior college.
Miller has two seasons of eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt season.
Miller started in 46 of the 60 games he played for Nebraska, averaging 6.7 points, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals.
This news comes just after Sadler was hoping to add depth with oral commitments of junior college teammates Lance Jeter and Quincy Hankins.
