Senators want answers about BSDC

Senators are asking for more information as a request comes to them for 32 million dollars to fund the troubled Beatrice State Developmental Center. Earlier this year, all medically fragile patients were moved from BSDC because the State’s Chief Medical Officer said the center couldn’t properly care for them. Senator Annette Dubas of Fullerton wants answers.
“This is the decision that was made and it was based on these facts, I can’t go back and say we’re going to spend $32 Million dollars, but i’m just not quite sure how these dollars are going to be spent, I couldn’t in good conscience say that to my contituents.”
Other Senators say they have asked for information before on BSDC and the information they received was wrong.
