Nebraska wrestling coach Mark Manning was named Big 12 Wrestling Coach of the Year for the second-straight season, as chosen by a vote of the league coaches.
Manning’s Huskers were co-Big 12 champions for the first time. Their last conference title came back in 1995 in the Big Eight. The Huskers also finished fourth at Nationals.
Commenting on the award, Manning said, “This award is a reflection of my staff and the commitment from our kids to be great and strive for excellence. My staff has a lot of camaraderie, and our guys really respond well to the environment we’ve built.”
