Lincoln murder suspect arrested

Lincoln Police believe they have the man responsible for the stabbing death of 30 year old Nathan Johns in his apartment on March 30th. Officers arrested 20 year old Marvin Carias at his home Sunday night after a two-week investigation into Johns’s murder.
Police Chief Tom Casady says a number of factors led them to believe Carias is the killer. Carias was spotted via surveiliance camera at a nearby convenience store just prior to the crime. His clothing matched that of eyewitness accounts of the man seen exiting the apartment at 1338 D Street that Friday afternoon. Casady says bloody fingerprints at the murder scene also match those of Carias.
Police say Carias and Johns knew each other but would not go into details over the nature of the relationship. Carias has been jailed on suspicion of first degree murder.
