Husker women ready to tip again after long break

The Nebraska women’s basketball team is still playing.  They had a first round bye in the WNIT, haven’t played since March 12 when they lost to KU in the Big 12 tournament.
NU is in New Mexico tonight.  Nebraska was one of 16 teams to earn a first-round bye in the field of 48 teams in the 2009 Postseason WNIT. The Huskers, who made three straight WNIT appearances in 2004, 2005 and 2006, before advancing to the NCAA Tournament in 2007 and 2008. 
At a Thanksgiving Tournament, the Huskers lost to host New Mexico 62-51 back on November 29th.  Tip-off between the Huskers and Lobos is set for 8 p.m. (Central).  The Huskers finished the regular season strong with a 5-3 record in the second half of their 16-game Big 12 Conference campaign.
