Many Nebraskans lack health insurance

Nearly thirty percent of Nebraskans under the age of 65 did not have health insurance at some point in 2007 and 2008. That’s according to a report released by the health consumer organization Families U-S-A. Executive director Ron Pollock says it’s not just the unemployed that are dealing with no health insurance.
“In Nebraska 84.1 percnet more than four out of every five Nebraskans who are uninsured, who were uninsured in the last two years is in a working family”
Rebecca Gould executive director of Nebraska Appleseed says even though Nebraska has less people without health insurance than the national average, it’s still a a major problem that congress needs to address.
