Breastfeeding issue heard by committee

Breastfeeding in Public was the topic at the legislature’s judiciary committee Wednesday. Senator Annette Dubas of Fullerton is shocked we are still dealing with this issue in 2009. She says there is still a stigma attached to breastfeeding.
“They’re asked to go into restrooms or find a dressing room or leave the public view to do the nursing. I was truly blown away by those comments and couldn’t believe we were still dealing with that kind of stigma.”
Dubas thinks the state should be supportive of this issue, especially as the state works to improve on dealing with health issues of children.
