Violence prevention bill will be funded

Violent crime continues to go up, even as penalties for crime are increased in the state. So says Senator Brad Ashford of Omaha who is supporting the funding of a violence prevention bill in the state. Some Senators worried that this money will only be spent in Omaha.
“It can be spread around the state, it will be spread around the state, and as you can see by the make up of the office advisory commission, that is spread around the three congressional districts.”
Senator Steve Lathrop says the bill will make sure you never know some of the potential criminals in the state, because they will be living healthy, productive lives. Senators voted to pass the funding bill.
