Creighton (26-7) returns to the postseason for a Missouri Valley Conference-record 12th straight season when it hosts Bowling Green (19-13) in first-round action of the MasterCard National Invitation Tournament on Wednesday at 7 pm. Qwest Center Omaha.
The winner of the Creighton/Bowing Green game will face the winner of Tuesday night’s UNLV/Kentucky NIT game. That second-round game would be played in Omaha if Creighton wins on Wednesday night. If Bowling Green wins on Wednesday night, the Falcons would play a road game at the home venue of the UNLV/Kentucky winner.
Creighton University guard Booker Woodfox has accepted an invitation to participate in the 21st Annual College Slam Dunk and Three Point Championships at next month’s Final Four. Woodfox, the nation’s leading three-point shooter at 48.9 percent, will participate in the three-point part of the competition and go head-to-head against seven other shooting stars from throughout college basketball.
