Concordia wins again

It was breakfast with the Bulldogs this morning as the 2009 NAIA Women’s National Basketball Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.  Concordia beat the Cornerstone University (Mich.) Golden Eagles 74-73.
The two teams have been side by side in the NAIA national rankings for much of the season. In the final NAIA DII poll released March 4, the Golden Eagles were ranked No. 7 and the Bulldogs were in the No. 8 slot.
This game was no different.  The teams were tied at the half and it came down right until the end. Whitney Stichka led the Bulldogs with 33 points thanks to hitting 14 of 15 free throws.  Melissa Tinkham finished with 17.
