The Big 12 tournament tips today with the Nebraska men taking center stage this morning at 11:30. It’s a rematch of Saturday’s regular season finale when the Huskers take on the Baylor Bears at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.
The Huskers held on to a 66-62 win on Saturday by hitting all ten of their free throws in the final minute of the game. It was close throughout with neither team leading by more than seven points. In that game five days at the Devaney Center, the score was tied five time and there were 13 lead changes.
The Huskers are gunning for back to back wins to start Big 12 tournament play. NU beat Missouri in the first round last year at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. Doc Sadler has seen slight improvement in Big 12 play in each of his last three years with NU finishing 8-8 this year after 7-9 last season and 6-10 two years ago. Here’s the Big 12 schedule for today. If the Huskers win, they’ll play Kansas tomorrow at 11:30.
