Huskers stay in control in win over CU

The Nebraska players and coach Doc Sadler were worried heading into last night’s game, but the Huskers survived Colorado’s slow down game and came away with a 46-41 win.  It’s the lowest scoring game in Big 12 history.
The Huskers may not have shot well, (just 35% for the game), but the key to their win was the outstanding job they did in taking care of the ball, finishing with just six turnovers.
Nebraska did not commit a turnover in the first half and had just two over the final 13 minutes of the contest. The Huskers forced Colorado into 16 turnovers, which led to 17 NU points. The Huskers also tied a season high with six blocks.
Most of the offensive punch came from Ade Dagundaro who continues to step up on the offensive end. Dagunduro led the offense with 18 points on 7-of-12 shots to score in double figures for the fifth time in his last six games. Dagunduro also pulled down six rebounds and two blocks.
More important with this win, it moves the Huskers to 6-5 and in a tie for fourth place with K-State and Texas, teams that NU holds the tiebreaker over.  The top four teams get a bye in the Big 12 tournament.
