Huskers upset #16 Texas

The Nebraska Cornhuskers snapped a seven game losing streak against the Texas Longhorns winning 58-55 at the Devaney Center.  The win puts the Huskers at 5-4 while Texas has now lost three in a row.
Nebraska takes sole possession of fourth place with its third straight win, outplayed Texas.  They just wanted it more as they were only outrebounded 34-30 despite facing three Longhorns that were 6’10.  Ade Dagunduro scored 17 points and had a career-high nine rebounds and hit a big three pointer late in the game.
“We’ve been here many times, and it’s not come down like this, but the effort has been the same,” said Doc Sadler “I think our guys, as they have every game, find a way to overachieve and stay in there. This time, at least, we got some good luck.”
The Longhorns were up 34-22 after a 22-4 run put them ahead early in the second half, but the Huskers responded with a 16-3 run of their own as Cookie Miller drained a rainmaker from three for a one point lead with just over six minutes to play.
The teams traded the lead four times before a Toney McCray made it 53-52 Nebraska with 1:43 left.  Nebraska has won against at least one Top 25 opponent nine years in a row.
