The University of Nebraska at Omaha Head coach Pat Behrns has signed 14 high school student-athletes. An additional five student-athletes will transfer to the roster with recruits as far as Georgia and California.
This class of recruits includes two quarterbacks, a running back, three defensive linemen, two offensive linemen, one linebacker, four wide receivers and five defensive backs.
Those players will join a UNO team that went 7-4 in its first season in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and made its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II playoffs. The Mavericks now have had 13 consecutive winning seasons under Behrns and have made eight NCAA appearances.
